This year’s government work report put forward for the first time the “development of an industrial Internet platform”. It is worth noting that during the two sessions, representatives from government departments, telecommunications operators, communication equipment manufacturers, Internet companies, traditional manufacturing companies, universities and research institutes, etc., all made suggestions for the development of the Industrial Internet. The high degree of concern is very rare.
What is Industrial Internet? The industrial Internet is the key infrastructure linking the entire system of the plant, the entire industrial chain, and the entire value chain to support the intelligent development of the manufacturing industry. Yu Shaohua, deputy director of the National People's Congress and the Wuhan Institute of Posts and Telecommunications, pointed out that the industrial Internet can be understood from three levels: “One is to form a network integrating the production, supply and sales of factories; the other is that the intelligent development of manufacturing leads to new forms of business and new models. , new ecology; third is the overall intelligent manufacturing."
Industrial Internet shoulders a heavy responsibility! High-quality development has become China's current and future development ideas and fundamental requirements. This year's government work report pointed out: "We must persist in focusing our economic development on the real economy." Manufacturing is the main body of the real economy and is the main force for China's economy to realize innovation-driven and transformational upgrading. Industrial Internet is the product of deep integration of manufacturing and the Internet, and is a more extensive and in-depth application of ICT in manufacturing. Vigorously developing the industrial Internet has strategic significance for the transformation and upgrading of China's traditional manufacturing industries, accelerating the construction of manufacturing powerhouses, achieving high-quality development, and continuously improving international competitiveness.
The revolutionary opportunity is at hand, and the challenge can not be underestimated. At present, the development of the global industrial Internet is in a critical period of large-scale expansion and undetermined structure. Various countries attach great importance to and actively carry out related work, hoping to seize the industrial power of the new round of industrial revolution brought about by the Internet. During the two sessions, many deputies said in unison that “strategic opportunities are fleeting, and it is not for me to step up efforts to speed up the development of the Industrial Internet!”
China has made early moves in the industrial Internet and has achieved remarkable results. In May 2015, the State Council issued "Made in China 2025" and proposed the "three-step" plan for building a manufacturing power. In October 2017, the State Council passed the "Guiding Opinions on Deepening Internet and Advanced Manufacturing Industry to Develop Industrial Internet", which clarified the guiding ideology, basic principles, development goals, main tasks, and support of China's industrial Internet development. China has also established the Industrial Internet Industry Alliance under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Currently, there are more than 500 member companies, including companies and institutions in various fields such as manufacturing, internet industry, and telecommunications. The industrial ecology has been continuously improved, and innovation has taken off.
However, there are still many practical problems in the development of China's industrial Internet, especially compared with leading countries. The United States pioneered the concept of industrial Internet as early as 2012. Subsequently, giants such as AT&T, Cisco, General Electric, IBM, and Intel jointly established the Industrial Internet Alliance in the United States; another manufacturing powerhouse—Germany launched in 2013. Industry 4.0" national strategy is committed to promoting the transformation of traditional manufacturing to intelligent. In recent years, China's manufacturing industry has been catching up. At present, 7 of the 22 industrial categories rank first in the world, and more than 220 industrial products rank first in the world. The world's second largest industrial added value, the world's largest manufacturing industry. However, it cannot be overlooked that the structure of China's manufacturing industry itself is not balanced. Industry 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0 coexist at the same time, and some companies are even at the level of Industry 1.0. Unlike the United States and Germany, they only need to move from Industry 3.0 to 4.0. Liu Du, deputy to the National People's Congress and president of the China Academy of Information and Communication Technology, summed up the "three major shortcomings" of China's industrial Internet: lack of key basic capabilities, insufficient capacity for ecological construction, and insufficient support and support capabilities.
At the turning point of development, our country should focus on the following tasks in order to better promote the development of the industrial Internet: First, to further strengthen the top-level design of industrial Internet development, continue to improve relevant supporting policies, and increase funding Support efforts. Second, pay attention to the construction of the industrial Internet ecology and system, give full play to the role of the platforms and ties of the industrial Internet industry alliance and other organizations, and promote collaborative innovation and win-win results in all aspects. Third, strengthen personnel training and reserve, and provide continuous power for the development of China's industrial Internet. Fourth, attach great importance to safety issues, build a comprehensive security system, and realize the healthy and rapid development of the industrial Internet.
